Face Primer for your Perfect Picture

For a flawless and gorgeous finish, our Smoothing Face Primer is essential. Our smoothing face primer creates a base for your foundation, and helps ensure that your makeup lasts longer. It evens out the skin tone, and smooths the complexion, by filling in any imperfections such as open pores and fine lines too. Our smoothing face primer works well with any skin type. We also have a Face Matte Primer, which is excellent for people with combination skin or very oily skin.

You can match your chosen primer with the correct foundation. Oily skins would suit a matte liquid foundation or powder-finish foundation like our Perfect Matte Foundation, Flawless Finish Foundation or Pro-Finish Foundation. Foundations with light-reflective properties are best for more mature or drier skin types, such as our Baked Mineral Color Tones Foundation. This foundation is infused with botanical extracts to soothe, hydrate and each color also adjusts to the individual's skin tone. Normal skin types can use any of our foundations, depending on the finish the person prefers.

Your primer should be applied after your moisturizer. But try to avoid greasy moisturizers, as they will stop the primer going on evenly. Always apply the primer in a thin, even layer, using your fingers.

With summer here, you may want to take nice garden photos or outdoor photos. Or you may need to take photos for editorials or videos. There are some tricks, to help you look beautiful, and to keep your makeup looking fresh all day. Your skin type will play a large role in how long your makeup lasts. Foundations can appear to slide off oily skin, whereas foundation can clump and look fake on drier skins. There are products that you can use both before and after using makeup, to balance and correct any skin flaws, and to keep your makeup intact. The most important trick to keep makeup in place all day, is by layering or proper skin preparation. When applying foundation, eye shadow and blush, use very fine layers and set them in between, to create lasting hold without a cakey finish.

GUIDE TO 24-HOUR MAKEUP:

1) Preparation is a very important factor to keep makeup in place for many hours. If there is any flakiness, exfoliate and moisturize well before applying your base, to make sure you start with smooth, dry skin.

2) Start with a fine layer of primer, then quickly apply your foundation before it dries (especially liquid foundation), and for the layers to set together. You can also mix a little primer in your base, before applying, so they work together.

3) Once you have applied your liquid foundation, you can set it with a fine layer of our translucent loose powder. Our Translucent Loose Powder, sets your makeup for all day wear and is also oil-free (shades include light beige or medium beige for fair skin, true beige or butternut beige for medium skin, and warm caramel or rich java for dark skin). Our cream foundation, which is our Picture Perfect Foundation, is a creamy full coverage formula that goes on smooth, stays in place all day, great for photography purposes, and works well with our translucent loose powder.

4) You can also set the color by using our No Shine Powder, and blending carefully.

5) You can repeat this process for the cheeks and eyes, applying a cream color first, before a dusting of translucent loose powder. Our Liquid Shimmer for eyes and cheeks, can be applied with a roll on applicator (shades include bronze, candle light and pink). Then you can apply a powder color, and do your shading and blending over the powder layer, such as for highlighting and contouring.

6) For eyes, you can use our Precision Eye Liner (black felt tip pen). This eye liner gives you the most sharp and precise line around your eyes, and can be used to create a graphic eye liner for any catwalk. It can also be used to create a cat's eye look, to bring out that playfulness in you. Our precision eye liner is the master definer, and can be used for different glamour effects. Our Liquid Eye Liners are also water resistant and last all day. Shades include beige frost, black, dark brown and navy. For fabulous looking brows, use our brow kit. Our Brow Kit is essential for any brow lover. This kit includes brow powder for defining and filling, setting wax to set brow powder, matte highlighter, shimmering highlighter, angled brow brush and applicator (available in light, medium, dark and deep shades). 7) For lips, you can use a lip stain, then layer it with pencil, powder and lipstick, blotting then re-applying the lipstick with a brush. Our most popular long-lasting lipstick is Lip Stay. 8) Set the whole face by applying translucent loose powder again.

9) You can make your makeup last even longer, by using a makeup setting spray. However, some setting sprays often contain alcohol and can be drying to the skin. We also have Face Blotters. This is a special face blotter sheet (100 sheets in a pack). Each sheet absorbs oil instantly without disturbing (smudging) your makeup, and keeps makeup intact.
